| Miley Listed As 18th On Most Downloaded List |
Posted By: Trina | on 09 Aug 2010
Miley Cyrus has one more rare achievement in her young career. She is one of most downloaded artist with 4 songs being some of most downloaded. Not only that, but she is also he youngest singer on the list as well! Good work Miley, keep up the hard work!
The 4 Miley Cyrus songs on the list are the following- Party In The USA, 7 Things, The Climb and See You Again. None of these songs on this list are any surprises, and we all know that Miley has a successful music career. Which is sort of sad, since she desires to leave the music business for acting in films.
Do you think the list is missing any of her other songs? Are you sad that she wants to quit the music? I find it a waste, since her first feature movie wasn’t all that successful. But then again, she is one the top earners under age 30. Maybe she should stick with comedy shows or movies.

| Miley On Choosing The 'Right' Scripts |
Posted By: Trina | on 09 Aug 2010
She's wrapping up "Hannah Montana," declared she "can't be tamed" and now Miley Cyrus is ready to be seen in more adult fare with her next flick, "LOL." And in a new interview with Popstar!, Miley make it clear that everyone should know that she isn't a kid anymore.
"The next film I’m doing is not for the ['Hannah Montana'] audience. But that is why I did the last season, for my young fans," she said the grand finale of her hit Disney show. "I want the fans that have grown up with me from 16-26 who will respond to older material. I have to choose scripts that are right for someone who is 18 because that is me."
So then what should fans expect from her and Demi Moore in "LOL?" "It’s very different going from a show with a huge audience and fan base to something... independent. But I’m excited to work on a film that is going to touch people," she said about the flick. "It’s edgy and different and I don’t know how the fans will react, but it’s something I can relate to."
After "LOL," Miley has some other plans: to get her own place. "I’m probably going to move into my place after 'LOL,' " she teased. "But I have to get some work done first."
We wonder if that work is convincing Billy Ray to let her move out!

| Miley Cyrus: “I want to be a role model.” |
Posted By: Trina | on 08 Aug 2010
With the recent announcement of her edgy new movie role with Demi Moore, Miley Cyrus continues her attempts to balance her new, adult image with her squeaky-clean Disney roots. In a new interview with the Montreal Gazette, Cyrus talks about the end of “Hannah Montana” and her future as an actress and singer, saying frankly, “Yes, I want to be a role model and have people look up to me, but this also doesn’t mean that I am not going to live the way that I want to live or do what I think is right.”
Insisting that her family still keeps her grounded, Cyrus elaborates, “I think it’s been easier for me to grow up, because I’ve never faked it, saying that I’m always going to be Hannah forever. I’m going to grow up at some point, and I’ve been always honest about that.”
For Miley, the end of “Hannah Montana” isn’t necessarily a bad thing for her fans. “Life will go on, you know, just the way anyone else’s life goes on. We made it more about a new chapter and not about the ending of something. It is the end, but it’s also the beginning of something new.”

| Get ready for Monday's Teen Choice Awards 2010 |
Posted By: Trina | on 08 Aug 2010
It's totally almost time for the Teen Choice Awards.
The special, known for its surfboard trophies, airs Monday on Fox and focuses on almost anything that's squeal-worthy.
Miley Cyrus? You bet. Justin Bieber? Of course. The "Twilight" films? Duh.
Singer Katy Perry and the guys from the Fox TV series "Glee" will host this year's show. Bieber, Perry and Jason Derulo are among the musical performers.
In the grand scheme of awards shows, the Teen Choice Awards occupy a murky ground.
The show's name alone suggests it's more suitable for a younger audience than, say, this year's MTV Movie Awards, when censors went crazy trying to catch every unexpected "bleep."
However, use of the word "teen" makes this show a little edgier than the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
The Teen Choice Awards' lineup occupies the awkward middle ground between MTV's no-holds-barred attitude and Nickelodeon's wholesome nature.
To channel Britney Spears: This awards show is not a girl, but not yet a woman.
That's why some young celebrities use it as a testing ground for transitioning from kid star to, um, mature entertainer.
They don't make a full-fledged leap at the show -- they still need those younger fans, after all -- but they often do something just racy enough to get people talking.
Enter pop star Cyrus' performance of "Party in the USA" from last year's Teen Choice Awards. Cyrus danced beside a beam that may have been either a balance anchor or a stripper pole.
While analyzing the performance, many people opted for the latter option.
Among the post-show reactions: "Can you believe she danced with a stripper pole on a show for TEENS? That is SO inappropriate."
Even if Cyrus' contraption was a stripper pole, I doubt the show marked the average 16-year-old viewer's first trip to the dark side.
That's the biggest problem with the Teen Choice Awards: Much like teenage life itself, the show isn't sure of its boundaries.
If only Monday's lineup included an inspirational beacon, someone compelling enough to attract a fan base composed of wholesome kids, edgy teens and skeptical adults.
Wait, I just noticed Betty White is on the list of guest appearances.
Looks like everything will be totally OK after all.
